Create a soft bedroom for Christmas

Which colour palette should you choose for a Christmas home?
The best starting point is your current décor. If your home is very natural, add deep green, burgundy or copper. If it is already colourful, choose a single festive shade and repeat it in small touches.
- Ecru + deep green: soft and natural.
- Beige + burgundy: warm and classic.
- White + midnight blue: bright and wintry.
- Caramel + copper: warm and contemporary.
Mamimosa’s advice: prepare guest linen in advance
If guests are staying for several days, prepare bed linen and towels before they arrive. Check that everything is clean, dry and ready to use. For pieces that have been stored in a cupboard for a long time, washing or airing may be useful depending on the material and its care instructions.
Also place an extra throw in the bedroom or living room. It is a very simple detail, but it means guests do not have to ask if they feel cold.
Create atmosphere with light
Do not rely only on the ceiling light. Several softer sources create a much warmer atmosphere: a side lamp, fairy lights, candles or a light near an armchair. Textile décor works best when it is paired with warm, localised light.
How can you decorate without overloading the home?
