GAÏA, small clips that make curtains simpler
A fabric panel you love, a pole and a wish to change the atmosphere: GAÏA metal curtain clip rings bring them together. The set of eight holds a textile by its top edge without sewing tabs or heading tape. Toothed clips grip the fabric and the rings fit over a suitable pole.
At Anna & Moi, we like the freedom to try an idea. A lightweight panel at a window or a small curtain over storage can give an existing textile a new role. The arrangement is easy to adjust when you want a different height or another fabric.
Check the inner diameter first
The rings have an inner diameter of 3.8 cm. This opening must fit around your pole with enough clearance to slide. Measure the pole itself rather than its decorative finials, and allow access to one end so the rings can be threaded on.
The gunmetal finish gives the metal a dark appearance. It works with a dark pole, aged-looking furniture or traditional handles. Above pale fabric, the rings make a visible rhythm; with a stronger textile colour, they sit more quietly in the arrangement. Think about whether you want the hardware to blend in or form part of the decoration.
Space eight clips for an even drop
Lay the panel flat and mark the positions of the two outer clips. Distribute the remaining six evenly between those points. Eight fixing points create seven spaces, a useful rule for planning the spacing before hanging.
Clip at the same depth at each point to keep the upper edge straight. Want to shorten the visible drop? Fold the top back and clip both layers, keeping the fold even. Try a discreet area first, especially with fine fabric. Once the panel is hanging, arrange the folds by hand and check that the bottom edge sits as you intended.
For example, if the outer clip positions are 140 cm apart, the seven gaps are 20 cm each. This calculation uses the distance between the outer clips, not automatically the whole fabric width. Set the side margins first, then position the clips between them for an even result.
More ideas for everyday textiles
The clips can also hang a smaller textile on a suitable bar. To make a practical corner near the sink, pair them with GAÏA hand towels: the cloth stays accessible and can be removed for washing. Choose a position where it can dry without being pressed against other objects.
The included pouch keeps the rings together when you change the arrangement. Put unused pieces inside instead of scattering them through a drawer. You will have the complete set ready for another window or textile project, and it is easier to keep track of all eight between uses.
Mamimosa’s practical answers
Do I need to sew the fabric? No. The clips hold its edge directly.
Is a curtain pole included? No. The set contains eight clip rings and their pouch.
How should I care for the metal? Wipe with a soft cloth and keep the clips dry. Open each clip to remove fabric rather than pulling it free, so changing textiles stays simple and gentle.
